Guidelines
Monogram - our primary Logo
Primary Logo
The BCG letterform, referred to as "the monogram". This is the default logo for all standard use.
Secondary logo: The BCG monogram combined with "Boston Consulting Group" in lock-up format, known as "the lock-up". Use only in specific context - check our guidelines
Placement & Format: Place the logo in the top-left of all assets unless format restrictions apply. Publication covers are an exception and may include the logo in the bottom-right. Always surround the logo with dedicated clear space
Logo
Clear space preserves the logo’s visibility and distinction
- Minimum clear space = ½ the height of the “B” (baseline to cap height)
- Avoid reducing the clear space to fit a layout
- Use additional space wherever possible to enhance clarity and presence

Logo Partnership and Subbrand Lock-ups
When presenting BCG alongside a partner or sub-brand logo in a horizontal layout, always:
- Apply clear space guidance to both logos
- Use the (|) divider between logos
- Ensure spacing on either side of the divider equals the defined clear space
- Use divider height ≈ ½ clear space; minimum stroke width: 1px
- Align the partner logo height with the BCG logo

Logo Pairing
Logo Green Use on light backgrounds and photography with predominantly light tones
Ivory Use on dark backgrounds and photography with predominantly dark tones
This applies across all BCG palettes, photography, and imagery. The examples below show approved combinations and common errors to avoid
